| Timber Ridge is an inspiring place... a place where people can come to free themselves of the world and seek inner truth... Timber Ridge is now located in the United States, in the far north of Machiasport, Maine. The farm is nestled back on a private sand road, heavily surrounded by pine. Upon entering the farm, all that can be seen is solid forest, but upon driving down the road a clearing opens and the facilities come into view. Laid out on a large swathe of land, Timber Ridge and Stony Brook straddle the main house, eventing arenas and guest homes. Past the farm is a lovely view of the Atlantic Ocean and private beach cove, which the guests are welcome to visit and ride upon. The water here is shallow and when the tide recedes the land is exposed for nearly a mile out. In the middle of the cove, an island sits, seemingly excluded from civilization. However, when the tide recedes, a large, winding stone path makes it's way to the island. This wall sits nearly 15 feet high, is concrete filled for support, has three foot security walls and is paved on top for easy travel. The island houses the Dušana in safe keeping from public hands, so no accidental bonds may be made. A yearly round up is conducted and horses are sold to approved stables. Only bonded Dušana live on the main land, including Davan and Jade's personal Dušana. Everyone is welcome to visit the Timber Ridge facilities and tour the land. Those interested in a Dušana may stay in the guest houses while making their bonds and may also attend training sessions to help acclimate to their new life in sharing their soul with their equine partner. |
